Sandra’s B.A. in Criminal Justice, combined with many years of experience as a senior paralegal, helps her effortlessly tackle the daily operations of a busy law office. She assists the attorneys with new client intake, client management, scheduling, administrative tasks and the daily challenges we face to win trials and settlements. Sandra is fluent in Spanish and works individually with clients, translating both the written and verbal demands of a lawsuit.

Calvin Bonner

With over 30 years working in the legal field at Bonner & Bonner, Calvin uses his vast knowledge and strict attention to detail in managing the legal team, overseeing medical malpractice complaints, negotiating medical bills, and ensuring all office procedures work efficiently and run smoothly. Calvin’s dedication, legal expertise, and strong skills in computer technology, make him an exceptional instructor, manager and mentor. (RIP)

Dorsi utilizes her marketing and mediating skills to help the law practice reach out to the community. While managing the office’s outreach and social media campaigns, she maintains a thriving residential Real Estate business buying and selling houses throughout the Bay Area. Amina Malika

You may remember Amina from the many townhall meetings, patiently assisting clients with us at Joe Lee Gym. She has worked with the law firm since we filed the Bayview Lawsuit in 2018, assisting in many facets of litigating the lawsuit and the settlement phase- behind the scenes and front and center.  Amina has always been a freedom fighter and a warrior for civil rights- with a long, ongoing list of activism.  Amina will be graduating from UC Berkeley next year! (and yes, Amina is Sabra’s daughter)

Essel Baker

Essel is a seasoned legal assistant, joining the Bayview Residents Lawsuit over four years ago, working diligently and tirelessly assisting everyone with everything. Essel’s previous line of work as an accountant brings her skills of attention to detail and overwhelming patience to us as a bright and warm, caring legal assistant. Her experience in journalism has enhanced her work here and we are forever grateful to have Essel grace us with her presence. Essel is also bilingual from the Philippines.

 

Ahmad Malik

Bayview Residents Lawsuit

Ahmad is always at the ready to assist in the law firm as needed. He showed up brilliantly during the factsheet phase, also running the satellite office on Third Street during the summer before the final factsheet deadline. He is a journeyman plumber by trade, earning his legal assistant stripes while working with us consistently over the past decade. Ahmad’s innate understanding of how things work, either in the trades or in the law office, makes him the problem solver for all of us! (and yes, Ahmad is Sabra’s son)

Joseph Weke

Joseph joined us remote from Kenya, in 2015, having earned his BSc in Computer Science, top of his class at Uganda’s Makerere University. He is the backbone of our website world, developing and customizing each website and portal. Then making magic, redesigning, always meeting our ever-changing case needs with the utmost patience! Joseph & Charles have been known to chat it up in Swahili.

Kennedy Rodas

Although we may lose Kennedy to law school in the near future, we are blessed to have him here now. Kennedy’s calm nature coupled with his strong work ethic and attention to detail are a huge asset as a paralegal. Kennedy helps manage the day to day tasks working with clients and attorneys, keeping the office running smoothly. Kennedy is also bilingual in Spanish.

EJ’s commitment to social justice, makes him a strong team member. EJ’s exceptional experience, tenacious diligence, boundless patience and a great sense of humor, propels him to manage our IT backend operations within the law firm.   EJ holds a B.S. degree from SF State in Computer Science with a minor in Business and is bilingual, from the Philippines.
